SAPUK Blurb

SAPUK Blurb for August 2024,

It is never easy enduring suicide, not in any format. Whether it is yourself, a loved one or someone you know.

Across the UK there are many individuals enduring suicidal thoughts and / or ideations;

Across the UK there are also many organisations who assist with the prevention of suicide, SAPUK being one of these;

Established from suicidal experience informally in 2016, to later becoming an organisation in 2018, to finally on route to again, charity status. To clarify, although SAPUK is a charitable organisation meaning all monies going directly back into the prevention of the cause and nowhere else, neurodivergences has always held us back from getting the documents formulised as they are to be expected, from the last application we had a few alterations to make with the documents (spelling mistakes for example are not okay etc) – Neurodivergences can also mean a lot of changes within a company, discriminating us as immature when in fact it is just wrong impulsive choices,

Anw, every day for the last five years SAPUK have offered a chat service, in the midst of this service has been a phone line, phone appointments, physical appointments, advocacy, groups, pop-ups, talks, pantry’s, blogs, vlogs, podcasts, fayres and now we have most of these, a few safe spaces and more groups upcoming  – and we expect the next five years to be just as quirky, supportive and different as the last five years;

SAPUK is amazing because of who is there, ultimately, I say I will support you but if I cannot you can go to SAPUK, here we have instant replies for anyone who is struggling with their mental health specifically those individuals encountering suicidal thoughts / ideations,

We are different, founded hippie;

We will never change our independent core values, nor will we ever mirror another organisations methods or services;

Although founded amongst neurodivergences, we have within our team diversity and professionalism with the directors. And amongst us are and have been some incredible souls, ones that have left marks and shaped the foundations of SAPUK to ensure that it is for 100% public benefit and red alert prepared for anyone with suicidal tendencies, come to us if you are struggling, #safeguarded. But mostly we have so much support amongst our team, as it is voluntary and we offer an experience stamp we get many individuals utilising our fields to engage with work experience / study experiences, so generally most of our volunteers are similar natured and within the cause. Everybody is also SP trained.

The only way I see SAPUK is as a safe space, especially for neurodivergences, we completely understand, especially for people with long term depression, we get this, especially for parents, I know we get how tough it is here, more so if you are independent with little support, especially for people who feel like they are alone in this dark blue, I know we understand what this feels like too

But as the image says, you are going to be okay, you will be okay with us , without us – just keep your eyes on getting to the next day,

Thankyou for reading ,

Dan ✌️💙
