Let’s go with a blog this morning, blogs are fun as they are like personal but maybe sometimes insightful, depending how you want to look at it.
Writing today to highlight growth, strength and independence. I am very aware I need to do a podcast completing only four last year was a bit eye opening, but I am so in my no make-up era, I just can’t be bothered putting the effort into that just yet. I think it is because I need to re-do a lot of them, so I know I have to ponder over that, plus I am writing for the moment. I am also very aware that many of my blogs may be a bit ‘out-dated’. I have updated many of them but not all, as knowledge grows I want to be able to keep each topic within alignment.
One question for you this morning, how is your day looking? Do you have anything planned or are you letting the day pass by as I am? The weather is awful.

But it passes how it passes, I hope this is within peace for you, if not please reach out. Or you can have a read of one of my blogs ’sit with it’ a link here, I do believe it might need updating now but I will catch up with that another day. 😊 I wrote this when I was healing in solitude, I hope it helps.
I love days passing by peacefully. I think sometimes I can sit and ponder in the quieter days wondering when there is more to life but rewind a few years and remembering moments I were clutching on for my life, so to let these days be peaceful.
I don’t really like bringing the word I into a sentence but knowing that there is a deeper meaning for this, and that it is connection. Connection from me as the writer to you, and a connection for you as the reader to me. It is important that we engage with connection again, for the benefit of our future generations, social media and the internet have made us all connect to technology and not other people. Blog about Mental health & social media a link here.
Growth is growth no matter how small. You can think you have just plodded on through 2025 but then if you summarise what you have really done that it then becomes a huge independent impact. Even if that is just making it through the year. Well done, you have done amazing, now let’s grow in 2026.
Growth can mean many things, but let’s talk about independent growth, the one where we learn understandings, optimism, patience and resilience. I believe independent growth is in the quieter moments, the ones where you spend weeks even months alone. Observing and pondering life and what it means to you and others around you.
In all aspects of life, it is important that you celebrate your own wins. This is so immensely important, if you can’t even hold gratitude towards yourself then who the hell else is going to? Celebrate you always. Even if that is just celebrating that you chose getting up and getting ready instead of the latter side. I have done my time in recovery, and I spent a long time there, over 20 years from different aspects. I have never felt that I have ever had any growth because I have had to build resilience instead, but I have been building resilience. Please see my previous blog on resilience and how to build it a link here.
It takes a lot of patience and understanding to trauma and it’s causes / effects to be able to build resilience, you must understand how the brain or your brain reacts to trauma. (article coming soon). When we understand that we can then to a degree control our outcomes.
Anyway back to the blogging, we have almost finished the first week of January, I hope the start of it has been as you hoped for or as you wished for. I hope you are happy and healthy, if you are struggling, please reach out to someone.
To be honest I am not sure on my motivation for this blog today, I love just chilled writing of expressions, and I just have the energy to release one within this manner today. I always want to help strengthen your abilities to live life to the fullest even if that is just reminding you that you are enough. My blogs / articles / written work will always be of a positive influence on you, so if you haven’t subscribed to my emails yet (I barely send them tbh sorry lol). It may be of benefit if you do (to receive one a year lol), also always welcoming new topics just please email me at hey@danisace.com. It is good to get different outlooks on things!
So, we have Sunday today, I can not wait for Spring to arrive, my favourable seasons go like this Autumn first, I love the array of colours, the burnt skies, the way the leaves fall ready for rejuvenation, then spring because of the rejuvenation of life, it all begins again the freshness. Then summer because of the potential warmth and socialising, then winter because snow is so stunning (not to drive in though). But let’s be real here in the UK we have such mixed-up seasons… Snow in spring for one and let’s not even drag on into the levels of rain we receive, but we make the most of it. I know that’s why I want to leave the UK which I am doing at point in life, my directions have called me elsewhere which I am eternally grateful for, for now my mission continues here in the UK and that is preventing suicide. I think I did a brief life update in my previous blog you are the world a link here. And that kind of explains how my year began and how my purposes re-aligned. I am grateful for 2025 and the people that where in it but 2026 is a new beginning, re-charge ready for rejuvenation in spring. For now, I believe January is for sourcing energy, planning and strengthening roots. After all it starts with you. Your roots are who you are and that is something nobody can take from you; you must get to a point where nobody can take anything from you other than notes. Which is exactly where I am at, I think when you are alone for so long you learn to understand that the way you perceive yourself is way more important than the way others may perceive you.
Be free. Be you.
We have a full year ahead of us, lets make some plans. So, 12 months. If we give ourselves a task each month to complete that means that by the end of the year, we will have completed 12 goals, having an outcome of a healthy year with something we have achieved. As examples, that could mean 8 hours at the gym per month. Saving £20 per month. One 2 mile walk per month. One home-made item per month. By the end of the year that is 96 hours at the gym completed. £240 saved. 24 miles of outdoors completed. 12 home-made items.
Plan. Plan something.
If you are struggling with bad habits plan on reducing them. Nothing consumes you quicker than a bad habit, trust me.
If you are struggling with bad people then ensure plans that you are moving away from them, as this also very soul consuming, trust me.
But, ultimately it always starts with you, you must gain the motivation. It is okay if you don’t have it yet or if you are overwhelmed with procrastination this is okay too. Let’s settle this first. As you may struggle to progressively move forward if you are still fighting with demons from the past an article coming very soon.
Strengthen good habits, if you enjoy doing something then do that! Let’s make this a positive year together for the benefit our ourselves, others and our future generations;
Positive habits are hobbies, music making, healthy eating, outdoor hikes, socialising events, creative activities, volunteering and so many more. I cannot enough stress how it starts with you.
Thankyou for reading, all my peace & love, Dan 😊
